About
Ratings you can argue with,
because we show the inputs.
What CoinGraph is
CoinGraph publishes crypto token analysis: a survival rating from 0 to 100 for each of the top 1,000 coins by market cap, and written research-agent reports generated per coin from that coin’s own market history. Every rating is free to read; the research agent is the paid product.
The rating starts at 100 and four measured factors deduct from it: price decline from the all-time high, volume decay, market cap erosion, and time below peak. Scores of 75 and above are rated Active, 50–74 Weakening, 20–49 Distressed, and below 20 Dormant. Every deduction is itemised on the coin’s page.
The stance: ratings, not verdicts
CoinGraph publishes unflattering conclusions about assets people own, so the model is deliberately that of a credit rating agency: an opinion derived from disclosed inputs, never a bare claim about a project’s status or intent, never a prediction, and never financial advice. You can see every number behind every rating and disagree with us.
That is also why certain words never appear here. We say Active, Weakening, Distressed or Dormant — bands defined by data — and we show the data.
Who is behind it
CoinGraph is a product of BlockEXC Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202401307Z), a company registered in Singapore. Market data comes from CoinGecko; on-chain balance reads for the wallet scan come from Alchemy; the research agent runs on Claude; payments are processed by Stripe; accounts run on Supabase. Holdings read during a wallet scan are never stored.
