Introducing CoinGraph: the check before AI agents act

AI agents have started moving money in crypto. They trade, pay, rebalance treasuries and sign transfers at machine speed, and nobody is watching each decision. They act on exactly the data they're given.

That is the problem. A price feed can't tell an agent that the order book is too thin to get out, that the token's contract lets its owner freeze balances, that leverage on the other side is crowded, or that the address it is about to pay is on a sanctions list. A person might notice. An agent won't, unless something tells it.

CoinGraph is that something: the check an agent runs before it acts.

One call, every source, one verdict

Ask CoinGraph whether an agent can buy $5,000 of Chainlink, and one call reads 18 live sources across 8 chains: market data, order books on seven exchanges, futures funding and open interest, exchange flows and whale transfers read from full nodes, holder concentration, contract security, supply, news. It reconciles them into one state and rates seven dimensions, each with its reason and its source.

Then it sizes the answer to the order. $500 and $10,000 get different answers, because the price impact is different. The verdict is one an agent can act on: allow, reduce to the largest safe size, or block, with the reason.

Where a source is silent, the answer says unassessed. It never fills a gap with a guess.

Every answer, proven

An answer an agent can't trace is an answer it can't defend. Every CoinGraph answer is stored exactly as it was returned, fingerprinted with SHA-256 and attested through Chainlink. Anyone with the proof id can see what CoinGraph said, when, and which source calls it was built from. And every call is graded in public against what the price did next: the track record keeps the misses too.

Three ways in

The API. Twelve endpoints, one response shape, no key needed to start: GET /api/v1/evaluate/chainlink.

The MCP server. Add one URL to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client and ask in plain words: “Can I safely buy $5K of LINK?” Setup takes a minute.

Ten agents. Whole jobs in one call: Trade Gatekeeper before every order, Wallet Guard before every send, due diligence, crowding, whales, treasury rules. Run them here, or build your own on the same data and proofs.

Agents pay their own way with x402: the endpoint answers 402 Payment Required, the agent signs the exact amount and retries, and the answer comes back with a receipt. That runs on Cardano's test network today. People and teams use credits: 1,000 free every month.

Not only for agents

People can use it too. Search any of 22,000+ tokens, see the verdict and the evidence, and ask in plain words. CoinGraph rates and explains what is true right now. It never predicts a price, and never tells you to buy or sell.

Why I built it

I spent five years at bitsCrunch building crypto analytics for people reading charts. Then the users changed. Most crypto trading is machine-driven now, and agents are starting to move money on their own. They don't need another dashboard. They need an answer they can act on, and prove.

CoinGraph is built with Chainlink, NOWNodes and Cardano. If you build agents, wallets or trading systems, I'd like to hear what you want it to check first: ajay@coingraph.ai.
